VK architects+engineers sets first steps in the UK market

VK architects+engineers ®, the multidisciplinary design office with headquarters in Belgium, acquired AD Architects Ltd. to enhance its experience in healthcare design in the UK market.

“This partnership is completely in line with our strategic plan and will help AD Architects to respond to the market opportunities in the UK healthcare market, which is expected to grow more than 20% by 2025”, commented Paul Corbeel, CEO VK architects+engineers.

“The acquisition will allow us to deal with larger healthcare design projects,” added Jim Haigh, managing director AD Architects. Jim will take up the role of director healthcare within VK architects+engineers. “The combination of experience of the AD Architects with the VK architects+engineers healthcare teams, will bring opportunities for both teams to take the next steps in healthcare design", added Adam Scott, technical director AD Architects.

VK architects+engineers will leverage on AD Architects’ existing market position and knowledge in healthcare design. The integration will take place over the next few years. "Our clients will continue to receive the same ingenuity in our human centered designs which they have come to expect", stated Jim Haigh. "VK architects+engineers will re-open our London office, to enable further growth and attract new talents to AD Architects".

AD Architects will continue to operate under that name, and is now a wholly owned subsidiary of VK architects+engineers.
